Known as a ‘rare’ variety as the coffee cherry in this coffee tree never goes red, but instead pink. This rare condition creates an intense and delicate balance in tasting notes. Very few farmers manage to produce a large quantity but when they do, it’s a harvest to remember.
The plants are characterised by a medium-low stature, thick trunks, and long branches compared to other varieties. Young leaves are light green, while mature leaves take on a darker green tone. The cherries are round, large in size, and distinctly pink in colour.
This variety is difficult to cultivate and is not easily found on the market. Its scarcity and the complexity of its production make it a fairly expensive and exclusive coffee.
