FULL-TIME BARISTA
& ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR

We are looking for passionate coffee lovers to join our team as a barista at a number of our sites across London, as well as an Assistant Supervisor for our Roastery in Borough!
​
The Person
-
At least one year of experience as a barista, ideally in speciality coffee.
-
At 2 years experience as a barista, with 1 year as supervisor for the Assistant Supervisor role.
-
Impeccable eye for detail, methodical, organised and tidy. Keeping the cafes exceptionally clean and presentable is crucial.

Competent latte artist with an understanding of how to dial-in the coffee grinder, and measure extraction for the perfect espresso.

Comfortable starting early in the day. Punctual and reliable.

Confident working alone during busier periods.

Learning and growth oriented. Curious, self-aware, calm and above all, kind.

Able to serve customers with courtesy and attentiveness in a fast-paced environment. Manual dexterity and multitasking skills required.

A natural with speaking to customers enthusiastically about our product and our mission. Must genuinely care about economic justice and the situation of farming communities in Colombia.

Outgoing, engaging and charming personality, keen to build strong relationships with the team and with our customers. Whatever sense of humour you have, we're ready for it!

Willing to continuously learn about the universe of coffee, and comfortable becoming an educator and a leader for new team members down the line.

Bonus if you have a category B driving license and are certified in Food Hygiene and Safety!

We will teach you everything we know about coffee: you will learn about our Colombian coffee varieties from production and sourcing, to roasting, cupping and brewing. You will thoroughly grasp the guiding principles of how to make the perfect espresso, as well as understanding the flavour profile of each coffee variety, different recipes and latte art methods.

You will also learn about the international coffee market, its harmful effects on independent farming communities, and how we are trying to support their prosperity in Colombia.

Plenty of space for professional growth: we are transitioning towards a worker-led business model, so we want to retain and promote staff to ensure the company's growth based on teamwork and efficient knowledge transfer.

Depending on performance, there are chances of traveling to Colombia to visit coffee-growing communities and to train Colombian baristas on the latest London barista trends.
