Farewell Buque Gloria

The Colombian Coffee Co. - Buque Gloria

Yesterday was truly an amazing day for Colombians in the UK. London's South Bank was temporarily taken-off by hundreds of Colombians who had come to say Goodbye to our Buque Gloria, as it passed through Tower Bridge and continued its European tour with next stop Portugal. One of the world's most famous ships passing through one of the world's most iconic bridges. I think I wasn't the only one to feel the emotion rising!

Earlier in the week we had had the honour of serving our coffee onboard the Buque Gloria by appointment to ProColombia, the Colombian Deprtment for Trade. For Colombians, the Buque Gloria represents the pride we feel in our country and hope that by working together we will achieve a better future. The Colombian Coffee Company represents a new, contemprorary way of trading and brewing Colombian coffees so it felt so right to be there. It was great to see our ambassador Nestor Osorio dancing cumbias on board. It was great to talk to Fernando Montaño, soloist dancer at the Royal Ballet. It was great to talk to the Colombian saliors including 16 young women who will qualify as cadets once they get back to Colombia.

Our people, our coffee, our Buque Gloria in London. What a great representation of Colombia. From the bottom of our hearts along with all Colombians living in London we sung: Farewell Buque Gloria!
